The term tankie was used as an insult to leftists who defended communist dictatorship’s use of tanks to attack (and kill) protesters. Walz did deploy the national guard to attack protesters during the George Floyd protests. Not a tank though as far as I’m aware.

This is misinformation. The USSR was not communist and its supporters are not leftists.
Thanks for letting us know about Walz’ deployment of the national guard against BLM protesters tho, I checked it out thanks to you and it’s true. I also read in the same article that Walz put George’s killer in prison, so he seems like a mixed bag. Definitely better than what passes for the bare minimum in American politics.

Yeah, I generally like him. That one thing isn’t ideal, but there is no politician I agree with totally. I think he’s a good choice.
