I wonder if he’ll be able to get a pro contract (if he wants to) somewhere. Seeing Alex Mejia sign with a first division club in Honduras makes me wonder about some of the other guys - McGlynn, Kingston, etc. It’s a tricky thing when they are a little bit older than many of the usual prospects. I think McGlynn was super draft eligible last year but not selected?
Will be interested to see how this works out - maybe some USL1 or USLC contracts?
Just speculating, but I suspect McGlynn probably has interest – he was only not with Ballard for the first half of the season because he was playing for Sly Fox in TST in Vegas. I would love to see him and Kingston take the next step – maybe with the new USL1 club starting up in Spokane?
Yeah, that would be cool. It was fun to see McGlynn playing alongside Brad Evans, Nick Rimando, etc. I only caught some of TST but he didn’t look out of depth at all. Hopefully the exposure gets him some looks. I think he had a previous camp call-up to USMNT U19, so seems like he’s been rated highly in the past too.
