A new book explores how the north London side and stars such as Ian Wright became a gamechanger for Black culture and racial integration in defiance of ingrained prejudices
Glad to see Paul Davis gets some attention on this. Apart from the fact that he was one of our earliest successful homegrown black players, he was underrated as a player overall. He was a fantastic midfielder. He had great positional awareness, wonderful first touch, and a good eye for a pass. I firmly believe that he was ahead of his time with his style of play (especially with the style that George Graham imposed on the team).
