It’s a shame - McClellan whipped the Army of the Potomac into a real fighting force, and then proceed to do absolutely fuck-all of value with it. One of those “Right man, wrong place” deals.
In my civil war history class I got so worked up hearing about McClellan that I raised my hand to ask if he was secretly a Confederate sympathizer.
