📸 Satellite images of the destruction at the Suzha gas measuring station and the Suzha checkpoint in the Kursk region.

▫️ According to the analysis of the photo, the Russian service of Radio Liberty writes, part of the damage to the station appeared between August 9 and 10, and part - between August 10 and 11. The photo from August 11 shows that one of the administrative buildings, as well as one of the sites where the measuring equipment is installed, was almost completely destroyed. At the same time, on Monday morning, “Gazprom” claimed that it continues pumping gas through the station to Europe in the usual volume.

My understanding is this pipeline runs through Ukraine. If Ukraine wanted the gas to stop flowing, they’d already destroy the pipe that runs for hundreds of miles through their country.

Ah, but if they destroy it inside Russia, then they can wait for the Russians to repair it and then destroy it again. This thing is an essential prop for the Russian economy, they really can’t afford to be without it. Might as well turn it into a money sink for them.
