Enemy armor with assault infantry flew into position. The landing party inside was tarred with a grenade launcher, those who decided to ride on top received an incredible meeting from our Heroes.

This is basically the inverse of how laser guided missiles work.

Not even the inverse, yeah? We have drones that designate targets already. I imagine they’d be power hogs and you’d have some inverse square shenanigans with effectiveness, but I don’t know what sorts of AT weapons they have or their capabilities. Unless Battlefield 4 was accurate, lol

Yeah I guess, I was just thinking about it in the context of a person setting up a marker for a middle/drone to hone in on.

But still! Cooperative engagement technology isn’t new, so it would be very cool to see it make its way to drones and gun fire control systems.

OLED display to reduce power and simply show a directional dot with size to indicate distance?

I meant for the designation aspect. Is it a laser? Some other radiation? Power output is going to be a concern, especially with the other draws on a drone’s battery. Or even relating positional data to the tanks. It’s a lot of data jumping around.

Ah you’re right, wasn’t thinking of the drone.

It’d probably need to be specific for that instead of carrying an explosive payload. Could carry a larger battery instead then
