Regardless of whether you as a person denounce 9r even support the rioters, journalists should be able to move freely, neutrally, and not be coerced into helping any side in a conflict, because it fundamentally weakens their ability to document events if they are seen as acting as an extension of anyone’s “enemy” (in this case, the government).
