We happen to be bigger things than most, so we have more resistance to it, but we’re not immune. I test my aquarium for copper fairly frequently because it i something that can kill my shrimp in small doses. They sell copper nails that can poison a tree.

minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink3•1 month agoHonestly, in a stable tank with a solid ecosystem and no chemicals you shouldn’t need to test anything, usually. I just got the shrimp, and they’re especially sensitive to water parameters. I’m being cautious.
