So peak Ahsoka is the Clone Wars cartoon final four episodes.
It’s worth watching some before the finale just so you get a sense of character growth that leads into that finale, but if you only ever watched the finale it’s fine.
Chronologically speaking I do need to acknowledge Tales of a Jedi. It’s a great watch but we’re talking live action so I’m moving on.
Anyway did I say live action? Sorry I meant Rebels. Rebels is the next character arc for Ahsoka. It’s a great story for her but given that she isn’t the main focus isn’t really her story. It’s still a big role, but it isn’t her story.
Then we get to live action Ahsoka, but not her own show. First she shows up in The Mandolorian. It’s here that we get her next arc. This arc is a precursor to the live action Ahsoka show. Mando is worth watching no matter what, so watch that, get a little extra Ahsoka.
OK. Wow. Now it’s time to put the Ahsoka show in context. If you’re feeling a little exhausted right now then the show might not be for you. If you’ve followed along with me, either in full or in part, now things get exciting. The show gives us the beginning of a new arc for Ahsoka. Eventually I’m going to be able to just say “Give it a watch, you won’t regret it”, but we’re not there yet. Season 1 gets us started, but the season is going to end a little weak. It feels both a little slow and a little rushed, but it’s a good start.
So should you watch Ahsoka? If you feel like it, but if you want to wait that’s fine too.
