Internet says it’s only ~10% more 1 Avoirdupois Ounce (oz) = 28.3 grams 1 Troy Ounce (Troy oz) = 31.1 grams A troy ounce weighs about 10% more compared to an ounce, which makes a big difference when it comes to precious metals. 1 Troy ounce = 1.097 ounce
