Atheists promoting Bible reading, this is the best idea I’ve heard in a very long time! I really hope this is a thing and not just trolling. You gotta wonder though, what is someone who calls themselves a “Christian” but has never read the Bible? And if someone would do that, what does it mean when they call themselves something else?
It’s a thing most true atheists have read religious texts. I personally have read the Bible multiple times cover to cover. I’ve also read to the Quran and I’ching. The thing that’s hardest to understand about atheism for most theists I’ve found personally. Is that it’s not an alternative to faith and belief it’s t the e absence of. It’s not I believe in Y instead of X it’s I just didn’t believe in X .
But yes I’d advise any theists of any religion. Read your religious text, but don’t let someone else tell you what it means what it’s trying to say. Read what it actually says there on the page and come to your own conclusions
