I want to give away some bike lights. Does anybody have recommendations on some low cost bike lights?

    Bike lights :)

Ok, you have to be specific for what you’re after. “low-cost” could mean getting something that’s not going to work well for your needs.

    1. What kind of run times do you need?
    2. Do you have a preference for mounting options?
    3. Do you want a removable battery?
    4. How bright do you need it?
    5. Do you need any fancy features, like a percentage readout for the battery?
    6. Are you using it for a commute? Offroad? Bike touring?

Strictly for commuting, rechargeable, nothing fancy. Doesn’t need insane runtimes, just something reasonable for commuting that I can afford to buy and give several of them away. :)

I guess I should have also asked… what country and what’s your budget? For no-frills, I like my Olight RN1500 (currently $86 on Amazon Canada) and have been using it across e-scooters and bikes for several years now (and many thousands of KM, including very cold winters).

But since you don’t need anything crazy, you can get the RN 800 (max 800 lumens) or RN 400 (max 400 lumens) for $79 or $39 respectively.

What I like particularly is that they mount to a standard Garmin quarter-turn mount, so you never have to worry about the mount breaking and your light not being usable (has happened to me with lights and phone mounts).

If you need more affordable than that, I’ve had several lights of this style (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0BC89C2C7) that works fine. Not something I’d personally go with as a first choice, but for short rides, no problem.
