No no no, you didn’t “acknowledge the realities of warfare and governance (governance, wtf?)”. Your position was that it’s dishonest to point out the number of children shot and killed by the IDF because they still have plenty of spare ones anyway. For what it’s worth, I do remember my first war. I had no problem going out on the street and protesting the immoral actions of my own government. I certainly never told anyone not to complain about children being shot and killed. No amount of reading or travelling will make me stoop so low and you’re simply lying to yourself if you think it’s because you’re smarter than everyone else that you’re cool with the murder of children.

Well, I’d say you are a good person too but I really don’t know anything about you. Other than you are very uncomfortable having your position read back to you and you think you are very smart. Maybe it’s time to re-evaluate some of your self beliefs, it’s ok to be wrong! Most people who claim to be smart to the point of using it as a defence of their position probably aren’t that good at introspection but hopefully it’s something you’ll grow out of.
Or maybe I’m wrong and I just haven’t travelled to enough countries yet to see it. If I have a sudden realisation next time I’m stepping off the plane I’ll come back and let you know.
