    Fascinating concept for a community. My town was dominated by a huge mall, knocked down most of the downtown stores to build it in the early 1970s. They say some of the original downtown was “bad looking/looked like a slum” and that building a mall benefitted everyone. It’s mostly empty now, has been for decades. I heard rumors, years ago, that “they” are going to remove most of the roof and turn it into an office park, with the mall storefronts turned into office space.
