    Yup. Inb4 some urban planning “wonk” gaslights me, asserting that my lived experiences are not aCKchOOaLee real while I sit in traffic each day that didn’t exist before the bus lanes were added ALL OVER my commute. I must be imagining the 30 minutes that consistently gets added to any trip involving Boston surface roads.

    “Actually, bus lanes prevent traffic.”

    said the person that rides a bike 10 minutes to their barista or office job. When pressed, people like this come to admit they are merely trying to push punitive policies against people for operating a motor vehicle and that all cars should be replaced by bikes in a city where there is snow on the ground for many months on end. When you tell them that your job would be incredibly impractical (if not impossible) if you were forced to switch to a fleet of rickshaws, they also like to inform you that, “actually whole industries shouldn’t exist anymore”.
