    I really don’t think it is grey. This is about bodily autonomy, right? If you can extract the fetus without it dying when extracted, don’t let it die after you extract it. If there’s a way for a fetus to survive if it gets removed after the 8th week, great. Put it in the incubator or whatever. The point is that the pregnant woman should not be forced to have it in her body.

    Weirdly, I never hear about anti-abortionists talk about how artificial womb technology should be researched and developed.

      This is the viability / bodily autonomy argument combined. I don’t think conservatives find it all that compelling as they are advocating for the rights of the unborn. You wouldn’t turn off the life support of someone that is conscious but on a ventilator, right? It’s the same principle. I’m just telling you from their perspective.

      I think the strongest argument in favor of abortion is the consciousness argument (around 24 weeks I think).

      It’s not so simple otherwise we would have all figured it out long ago.
