Yesterday, one of these fuckers started harassing me because I said I am voting for Harris to protect my queer daughter. Started trying to make me justify my concern for my child and kept framing it as “blue no matter who.”
Amusingly, they also suggested, when asked who I should vote for to stop the genocide in Gaza, that I vote for some guy named Chase something who I’d never heard of and who I doubt is on any state ballot.
You have to remember that a chunk of these accounts are bots or bad actors, and others are falling for the bots and bad actor’s propaganda.
I would consider myself a true leftist. I am a member of a Socialist org, and I have been called a ‘tankie’ before, even though I’m not exactly ML, and I have never shown support for Russia or China in my lifetime.
I obviously am not a fan of the Democratic party, but I will absolutely be voting for Harris, because I realize that the GOP is so so much worse for my LGBTQ friends, women, the Palestinian genocide, and just the world in general. Most leftists I know IRL have stated the same.
