Just added my brand new Rachele Fruit campaign pins from the Socialist Workers Party to my collection!

I’ve been collecting socialist campaign pins for years, and these latest additions are now proudly displayed alongside the others. :)

Can you see that hammer and sickle on your pin?

The people making an argument for the hammer and sickle are the same ones that will make one for the swastika. If your movement is so great, it’ll survive a rebrand. Get a new symbol.

Let me help you, because you seem off your game today and maybe don’t know how to use Wikipedia: The hammer and sickle is a communist symbol representing proletarian solidarity between agricultural and industrial workers. It was first adopted during the Russian Revolution at the end of World War I, the hammer representing workers and the sickle representing the peasants.

The hammer and sickle symbol is one of the most popular representations of solidarity among the working classes and peasantry. Later on, it became the symbol of communism and was popular among communist movements worldwide.

History of the Hammer and Sickle Symbol

The combination of the hammer and sickle as a symbol was originally used in the proletarian struggle back in 1895 in Chile. The symbol was depicted on Chilean coins, representing farmers and construction.

However, regardless of your political points of view, it is important to understand that the hammer and sickle symbol was created to represent the unity and power of the working class, as the biggest and most significant part of human society.

You removed my comment because you don’t agree with it, but claimed it was a falsehood. Bad mod, bad.

You compared the symbol to a nazi symbol. And this is a socialist-friendly community. If you are not supportive of the cause, then get out.

I didn’t compare the symbol, I said that people that support a perverted symbol of one type will likely support another. The hammer and sickle isn’t the symbol you seem to believe it is, no matter how much you want it to be. It is no longer the symbol of the worker, it is the symbol of the oppressor. The sooner you learn to accept that, the sooner you’ll be an asset to the cause.
