Not for everyone but a nice mouse especially for a laptop you carry around a lot is Logitech’s Ergo trackball mouse, it’s wireless and you don’t need a good surface or space to move it around in. Not great for gaming, but not awful either. Once you get used to it it’s almost as good as a normal mouse
