Forest Lake, an urban reservoir near Brisbane, Australia, ranks as the sixth most polluted lake globally in terms of microplastic contamination, according to a landmark international study.

    They tested 38 lakes in 23 countries. Only one lake in Australia was tested. There are millions of lakes in the world. Perhaps next time they should increase their sample size.

        A sample size of 38 is just too small to be taken seriously.

        Are micro plastics in our water a problem? Yes. The title is totally misleading. It cannot be among the world’s most polluted if you have only tested 38 lakes out of millions.
