Personally, I lean socialist, but I’ve noticed an alarming trend where certain news articles, particularly those about third parties or differing viewpoints, are met with hostility.

What really surprised me was that the hate and vitriol I received from Democrat-leaning voters on Lemmy far outweighed anything I got from the Republicans.

Both sides seemed more interested in maintaining echo chambers than fostering real, open discussion.

The frustration I felt from trying to engage in genuine conversation with people who were more focused on shutting down opinions than debating them drove me to create this space.

So I wanted a community where we can post and discuss news from any political party—Democratic, Republican, Socialist, Libertarian, Green Party, and even smaller, lesser-known movements.

The constant bashing and shaming for simply posting about third parties made me realize that we need a platform where all voices, including those not aligned with the duopoly, can be heard without being drowned out by hate.

Ironically, the backlash from Democrat supporters on Lemmy has made me even more curious about Republican viewpoints, and I’m genuinely interested in hearing from a variety of political perspectives.

Politics Unfiltered is about breaking free from these one-sided conversations and embracing a truly diverse political community.

Everyone deserves the chance to express their ideas, no matter which side of the spectrum they fall on, and I want this community to reflect that.

So, thanks to all the haters! After being called an idiot so many times, I’ve decided to create a community where people can post even more of the articles you despise. Good job! :)

Liberals don’t like leftists because we make them feel like bad people. That’s why they try so hard to morally lash out at us when they can. They understand that many of the policies they advocate are unethical and but can’t oppose the system that they benefit from, so they tear us down. White liberals do not want to dismantle white supremacy. They want to rework it into something that makes them feel better about themselves.
