Something that really bothered me about the original Reddit PCM before i left was that people on the LibRight side were always construed as these apathetic capitalists who accept everyone and get the last laugh by selling to both sides. But i never found that to be even close to the reality. Any genuine libertarian i ever met was poor, in debt, and usually had deeply rooted biases about sex and race. A far cry from “how do i monotze this”.

Reddit pcm was also infested with right wingers in general. Any remotely left-leaning opinion was heavily downvoted

“I’m libleft but Hitler had some good ideas, especially about LGBTQ+ folk” - Average r/PCM user

Nazis in cosplay. Really ruined what was, at the very very start, a goofy and only slightly offensive community.

Well, poor, racist, and sexist is already taken up by authright, and let’s face it, most self-identified libertarians are just looking for the white right boots to lick. It’d be more accurate to the general population to have libright be 90% authright, but that would also make the quadrant kind of pointless. As it’s all a dumb horoscope, libright gets to be the Andrew Ryan/impoverished corpo slave composite of their wet dreams, for amusement purposes.
