The only games I’ve seriously sniped before in are Overwatch and Team Fortress 2 - which both had hitscan bullets for sniper rifles. Actual bullet drop takes some getting used to, but I’m getting there.

Long range scopes have the glint. Unless you’re looking to go for the extreme long range sniping battles then all it does is show everyone exactly where you are.

Most of the sniping I do I tend to go for around 200 - 500m shots using murderholes and tight angles where people won’t expect. A big beacon showing everyone where I am isn’t going to get me far and asking for a counter sniper to ruin my plan.

That’s a good point, thanks! I will try out the 4x scopes. I usually only use them with the semi automatic rifles.

That said, however. That hasn’t stopped me getting totally out played by snipers with long-range scopes equipped.

Either because I didn’t think they saw me, or even they were just way better.

Re-reading the comments I realised I came across quite preachy and I fundamentally think that people should be allowed to play the way they enjoy (except main campers, they can go in the bin). So do whatever you’re good at or find enjoyable.

Personally, as an example, I like to only play the weapons of the team I’m playing, even if it means I do badly.
