I think it might still be very different from company to company. I’ve experienced the same in IT sector, switching between companies there’s a massive difference in how employees are treated, despite working on the same products and having the same jobs.
Might be people that are content with their jobs, what they earn and benefits. Not all companies without unions are terrible.
Which given the bullshit shift in the sector of late suggests now is the peak time to unionise
