Socialism is not a replacement for democracy; it’s a replacement for capitalism.

If you read the comments before mine you would see that the user I replied to was arguing Scandinavian Healthcare “isn’t socialism” before linking to a video prpduced by “Marxist Student Federation”.

I am the one arguing Socialism and Democracy are not mutually exclusive. Did you miss the reply button for someone else?

You sound offended that I replied to you. If what I said is not in contradiction of what you said; why are you coming at me?

You indeed said something similar to what I said, although a bit further from the topic at hand, quite so, and I also replied to what you said by rehashing what was said before that, yes. Do you have issue with constant rehashing of what has been said? Why are you getting angry?

At no point in the entire video did she say anything about ending democracy in Sweden. She was talking solely about the economic systems of socialism and capitalism.

Edit: in fact her only mention of the Democratic system was the fact that the capitalist conservatives have completely captured their government. And that is what she was referring to when she talks about a socialist revolution. She’s talking about voting the bastards out.

All these idiots worshipping Lenin. When Lenin betrayed the revolution after the Bolsheviks lost a 1917 election.

It was the first and last free election in Russia, and Lenin lost. So he declared the Constituent Assembly to be Counter Revolutionary and shut it down after only 13 hours.

This led to the Russian Civil War, where Lenin came out on top as a full totalitarian dictator.

And by definition, you cannot have a socialist or communist anything run by a totalitarian dictator. No, if you have a dictator, the economic policy you have is called Feudalism.

I mean, Lenin never even really won an election within his own party. He was certainly no democrat.

Democracy is when 60% of your population gets to vote for one of the two corporate stooges propped up by the local corrupt and scloratic cartels. And then those cartels collaborate to siphon off the fruits of the national economy in order to wage endless war against the unaligned states of the third world.

Tyranny is when your worker’s soviets struggles together for over half a century to resist a siege of your island by the world’s most advanced military. You endure shortages of food and fuel and access to even the most common manufactured goods, because of the armed blockade of every port of call in your country. And the resilience required of your national struggle creates such a sense of fierce loyalty to one another that billions of dollars in foreign agitprop, espionage, and fascist-sponsored insurrection cannot compel you or your neighbors to betray the popular political leadership that guide you.

Imagine blaming shortages of food, fuel, and basic goods on people who literally want to trade it to you for cheap crafts, machinery, and textiles instead of the people in charge of your production of food, fuel, and basic goods.
