Good morning fellow sobernauts, IWNDWYT 😁!

We may be anonymous strangers on the internet, but we have one thing in common. We may be a world apart, but we’re here together!

Welcome to the 24 hour pledge! I’m pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same.

Maybe you’re new to c/stop drinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe you’re like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe you’ve been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.

It doesn’t matter if you’re still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, let’s not drink alcohol!

[I am experimenting with using a post scheduler, if it does weird funky stuff, I’ll stop doing that].

Holy shit! It’s already April 10th!!! Just kidding just kidding. Just a little “across the pond” humor for you. I will not drink with you today! Happy Friday and happy weekend!

Time flies when you’re having fun 😁

[actual, boring explanation: there’s a bit of code in the post scheduler that inserts the current date in the header, and this is the format it uses, rather than the format we’ve been using with the manual posts].

Yeah, I’m sure I could fix that if you wanted the format to be like how we had it before

I’m using the post scheduler someone kindly created here https://schedule.lemmings.world and I think just need to play around with the date injection code. I think if I change the current “m” to an “F” it should work, so I’ll fiddle with it after I’ve had my coffee.

Yeah, looks like the “F” should do it. Looks way over complicated for what we need specifically for this sub. If it doesn’t work out, maybe I’ll poop out a much simpler python script.

meanwhile, I’ve edited the post title to avoid any potential confusion.

Haha, no worries. It’s us yanks that do dates weird. Like shouldn’t it be least specific to most, or most to least? DD-MM-YYYY or YYYY-MM-DD. Why would you ever swap around the month and the day?
