I’ve switched to bugs this week so I’ve had to switch loadouts.

Currently running:

  • Erupter
  • Redeemer
  • Fire grenades

Strategems:

  • Commando
  • Airburst
  • Gas robot backpack
  • Orbital rail cannon

It’s built as a mid to long range sniper with team support.

I can take out bug holes from long range and stunt waves with the erupter and airburst while supporting team mates that get stuck with chargers.

The robot and redeemer are there for close in support when something sneaks up on me. Rail cannon is there for the big bugs.

I’ve been really digging crossbow lately, it’s insane how good it is on both fronts. It’s especially good when there’s a spewer map, because it can kill 2-3 of them per mag now.

I like to run antichaff, because people tend to ignore it on the bug front in favor of primary weapons.

Crossbow, Stim gun (unless theres two shields on the team), Gas grenades (or thermite if we need more AT)

For strats I usually take regular machine gun, supply pack, 500kg (for occasional base clear/bile titan), and gas strike.

Can I ask why the machine gun over the stalwart?

I like it more cause it’s medium pen. Hive guards, brood commanders, spewers, just blast them in the face or center mass, no worries. I just like doing damage, which stalwart is good at, but you have to choose targets more carefully with it.

The reload time is painful sometimes, gas grenades kinda work as a stun grenade to buy you a few seconds. If you want to play more solo with it, take a regular pistol instead of stim gun to fend off the occasional hunter. If you hate sitting still to reload all together, definitely pick stalwart as you can run and gun with it much easier.

Also, the weapon handling on the machine gun, I forgot to mention but I take viper commando armor. Makes it feel much nicer.
