How come people like Cosby and Weinstein seem decrpit appearing before a judge or jury? Cosby could barely walk and W had to use a walker. Why do this because it doesn't influence anyone?

It might work. Sentences can be subjective, and it probably isn’t going to hurt. Why not try. Same reason people dress up for court: suit, tie—everything they wouldn’t normally wear
