Well, yeah, because their kids will see how happy your kids are, and that’s “messing” with their kids.

Because, you know, they’ll realize how awful their parents are and how they’re mistreated and abused.

(And yes. Fundie Christian’s abuse their kids, even if they never lay a hand on them. The emotional abuse is real.)
