  • I dream about him popping a stroke or whatever during a speech at one of his unhinged hate rallies, losing what’s left of his brain as he collapses to the floor loosing the last shreds of his sanity, shitting himself with such violence that it can’t be contained by the diapers, his last shreds of dignity lost as he chews on the base of the podium, dying as the paramedics get to him; with news companies playing the entire thing on repeat for a few days while people talk about it, and then slowly they start talking about other things as we all forget he ever existed.

his legacy collapses into the silence as his name is only mentioned in history class as a warning to future generations.

  • “The guy is nit a good guy!” Is not a justification to kill him.

He is in prison. He will never be released. His ability to commit further terrorist acts are effectively eliminated.

There is no moral, ethical, or pragmatic reason to kill him. It is unjustified, and in my belief, murder.

There are entire tomes of reasons of why making a spectical of his murder isn’t just wrong, but fucking stupid.

Not least because it will be celebrated by other terrorists.

not to mention, it puts you in league with these assholes. (Trigger warning, picture of an execution)

  • The problem you’re going to have is that there simply is no good way to kill someone that does not want to die.

It does not matter how painless it is. It doesn’t even matter if it feels good. they will resist, just as soon as they realize what’s happening.

Something like the sarco pods rely on the willingness and desire of the people using them. (Or at least, for the intended purpose). If you tried to use them for executions, the victim would resist the moment they saw it.

If you try it sedate them, they’ll resist the sedation. If you try to slip something in the food, they’ll stop eating, etc.

The problem isn’t the method. The problem is it’s inhumane on its own.

  • You don’t need to eliminate the senate to make it representative of actual people.

The constitution isn’t meant to be unchanging, perfect or worshipped. It was designed to be changed as the needs of the people changed. As the world changed.

You can take your “agree to disagree” and shove it up your ass. Your attitude is literally disenfranchising ~80+% of Americans because of something you can’t even demonstrate to be likely, never mind totally true.

Edit, by the way, if what you said is true, farm bills would never pass the house. They almost always pass as a matter routine.

  • Equal representation is a foundation of democracy.

The US doesn’t have that. And has never had it. If the foundation is shit, everything else is going to go to shit.

That includes citizens united and gerrymandering.

Which it needs to be said is a false dichotomy and all three things can be done simultaneously. It’s as lazy and fucking disingenuous as saying urban and suburban voters can’t vote responsibly for rural decisions but rural voters can vote responsibly for urban decisions.

Any argument you can make for rural voters receiving more voting power can be echoed right back at you and it’s all a load of bullshit.

So yeah. You’re absolutely going to have to defend the argument you fucking made when that argument is ultimately to disenfranchise 80% of American voters.

  • It helps prevent us from turning the less populated states into dumping grounds.

You’re going to have to prove that’s what would happen.

You’re also going to have to explain why that’s worse than underfunding and not meeting the everyday needs of actual people- the vast majority of whom do not live in rural America- to prevent rural America from “Becoming a dumping ground”.

(Also while you’re at it, show how republicans aren’t already turning rural America into literal dumping grounds with their regulatory rollbacks.)
