A study led by Johns Hopkins Medicine researchers concludes that commonly used ways of positioning the patient's arm during blood pressure (BP) screenings can substantially overestimate test results and may lead to a misdiagnosis of hypertension.
No, not new at all. It’s one of the first things they teach you when you learn to take blood pressure. Also super important but also neglected is the positioning of the cuff, especially for those automatic ones. If you have an automatic one, and you rotate it incorrectly, you can get the readings off by like 50.
Is this new? I’m pretty sure the BP monitor I bought explained this in the manual.

Going by the URL, I’m gonna guess it’s just click farming and nothing new of note.
