    They were a joke anyway. We would always get a shipping box from Amazon, ten times the size of whatever we ordered with maybe one of these ‘plastic pillows’ thrown in for protection - just bouncing around. It was such a joke.

    They would never put enough in to protect the item or pick a carton to be a closer size.

    In the end it just was more plastic waste.

      I had the opposite problem. There would be 9 miles of that shit in a package and my item would still be broken in the bottom of the box. My cat loved it though.

        Never understood that. Put the item directly against a part of the box that can still be damaged. I mean I understand it’s easier to toss in an item and cover it up rather than wrapping it but still. You want the item closer to the middle of the box

          That would be ideal, sure, but simply getting rid of the extra space that would allow the item to bounce around inside the box is very useful too.

        Yeah, when I saw this headline my first thought is “aww, my dog loved it when I got an Amazon package because she got to destroy all those balloon things for me.”
