I think you’re looking at the Democrats as “good but misguided” and Republicans as “frothing evil fascists,” but the tragic truth is that they are all businessmen and women. They serve their corporate donors and economic interests. The genocide in Palestine isn’t moral, but economic, Israel helps establish hard power in the region for the US that secures the Petro-Dollar, which is how the US maintains control over international financial Capital and brutally exploits the Global South via Imperialism through brutal IMF loans.

Both parties are complicit and aligned with respect to Israel.

The only way out of this is revolution, so I recommend joining an org like PSL or FRSO.

I don’t think there are any good guys here. However, the Democrats are more likely to be swayed away from the fight than Republicans. At the very least, less deaths will occur with Democrats in power than Republicans.

        Please answer why you believe

        1. Democrats are more likely to be swayed, and

        2. Less deaths will occur with Democrats in power than Republicans.

Do you think the IDF uses the bipartisan weapon shipments any differently? What kind of materialist analysis are you doing, is it just vibes?

The answer to both of these is their constituency. In order to stay in power, the parties need to move in the general direction of their voters. Democratic voters are more likely to be against the attacks on Gaza and the Palestinians. Republican voters are more likely to be in favor of bombing the hell out of “terrorists.”

Therefore, Democrats are more likely to be swayed towards the side of let’s not support Netanyahu. By that chain, less deaths will occur (addendum: with US help) with the Democrats in power.

Right now, Biden is doing business as usual. Same trades and sales to Israel as the US has always done. Trump though has said that he’d just bomb them to “finish the problem.”

Progress is led by the people, not the politicians.

And yet Harris and Co. have expressed undying support for Israel. Their interests being protected in the Middle East outweighs any level of appealing to voters, especially because of the logic of “vote Blue no matter who.” Dems can get away with anything as long as they aren’t Reps.

Biden has given Israel everything they have asked for, even privately encouraging the invasion of Lebanon. Trump is evil, yes, and the Dems are not better, at least not on the genocide issue.

Now you’re making sense! I agree, we need a revolution. I recommend joining PSL or FRSO!
