She’s having problems getting here. If someone knows what’s going on and can help that would be great

I don’t know why she’s unable to use her original account. Maybe you could contact her through reddit to see if you could help.

Welcome back? I did edit my earlier comments with a post that explains in more detail - I think you also made a post a long time ago highlighting the issue.

I’ve had that exact issue when subscribing to new communities but obviously not the same in this case.

In is a known issue though

I think Orange1 is on another lemmy instance, so maybe something has gone wrong and it’s gone through the process to try and create a new account elsewhere.

Maybe try logging out and making sure to be signing in as Seagoon_ on the aussie-zone page?

Edit: maybe need to clear cookies in the browser too?

Yep I made a new account on Aussie zone to reply to this. I was previously on lemmy world and there was a post months ago saying sync between world and Aussie instance could take 7 days (if it did at all) I think seagoon misunderstood when I was trying to explain. Early days it seemed to work fine, then I noticed no one replying and realised due to the post explaining the delay. I was too lazy to make a new account and just stopped commenting!

        Yes.

I registered on the incorrect server.

So an Instance is like a subreddit but on another server and different servers have different access and permissions.

Reddit is all on reddit servers.

my mistake, not so much that I assumed that it was all connected servers like reddit , which I did, but I searched for Melbourne and registered under the wrong Melbourne group which happens to be on another server

Not your fault, it’s a technical issue. There is just apparently too much activity and too much of a delay when trying to sync messages from lemmy.world (Europe I think) to the Aussie instance. It’s more of an issue that lemmy.world instance is too big
