With the reddit API debacle far in the review, I’m wondering if any of you went back to the platform.

  • No. They ban VPNs, so if I happen to follow a link that leads there, I get the “login to see this” page, shrug, and go somewhere else.

    It’s easy to circumvent, but rarely worth the effort. The content was getting mostly shit-worthless even before I left. It’s only gotten worse.

    There’s not useful, factual information on 4chan, these days.

      Is it easy to circumvent? I use Tailscale to route everything through a VPN but use an App Connector to route it through my home network, and I really hate that.

      Same. Same reason. Same thing.

      I will admit that I’ve gone to reddit on a VPN with no sign in to look at 🎶porn-o-graphy🎶!
