    Same as it ever was.

    This has honestly been something that progressives and moderates have been worried about since Day 1. Trump is dangerous because he erodes the political and social norms around the democratic process in the US. Now that he’s blazed the trail, if someone smarter with the same racist and regressive policies reaches to power, we’re totally boned. Especially with the courts packed with Republican-nominated hacks and the state governments in large part controlled by R’s due to the gerrymandered districts (and to a lesser extent, the House, too).
