I’m sure there’s a perfectly good reason why we haven’t done this yet. Too expensive? Would launching it into the sun cause the smoke (if there is even smoke in space) to find its way back to Earth, therefore polluting the air?
This is an incredibly stupid question.
A rocket could lift 100-150 tonnes of trash. We have about 60 billion tonnes of trash.
So, um, 400M rockets.
Yeah, that ain’t happenin’.
Let’s not count this method out just yet. We’re starting with a giant piece of trash first(Elon), and will see how the rest goes.
