I was going to suggest the same. That’s our most likely choice for emigration.
one of my good friends moved from western US to costa rica and says everyone is unbelievably sweet there and its so relaxing. he’s been there maybe 10 years now and has no reason to leave

CR has been on my retirement radar for a while. It remains to be seen how viable that thought is once global warming and sea level rise really ramp over the next 20-30y.
