Exoskeletons have been helping paraplegic patients to walk for years, but the latest development from KAIST is a little different. The WalkON Suit F1 can amble over to a patient seated in a wheelchair, wrap itself around the legs and body, and get the user up and walking.
Only the ones who can afford the thousands upon thousands to use it/repair it/maintain though.
That’s how tech starts. Title says it’s novel. Even a 9 function calculator was high tech one day in the past. A digital one was an unreachable price for most. Now you have one bundled into another device and probably don’t even use it often.
It’s cool that this exists because before now it didn’t at ANY price.
