I mean not to be the prototypical Vol fan here, but thank god. Alabama’s fake flop against us got me to almost say “booing THOSE ‘injuries’ is okay”. I think it was hilarious to watch back and I understand that technically DeBoer should have been allowed to sub, but that was just so mind mindbogglingly stupid that I bet it was a massively embarrassing moment for the league. 150k and a one game for the coach after the third is certainly strong enough to really dissuade it’s serious use, and 50k for the first should make coaches even pause to use it strategically. But this still hinges on how you determine if an injury is real. The “National Coordinator” must determine that it is “more than likely” that a player faked an injury. And outside of some of Ole Miss’s and the super obvious one from bummer this past week I know a lot of these are hard to tell. Does this fix the problem or send kids to acting class more often?
