Boy I hope I’m using those terms correctly…
Hi everybody! Brand new here and whilst searching “All” I only found 2 Communities related to Pathfinder 2E. This one and “[email protected]”.
Is that all of them?

Those are also the only two communities I can find; I guess its all then? Lets make this instance grow now :)
I found this link an another PF2E article on Lemmy: https://pathfinder.social/communities
But it’s asking me to Log In, and whether I try to login using my lemmy.world login, or create a new account, the screens just go into a ‘progress spinner’ and never recover.
Thanks Spez!
So patience is indicated.
Your account on lemmy.world only works on lemmy.world. But you can access those communities over there by using your own instance.
For example you want to access pf2general located on pathfinder.social. To do so go to your instance’s search (https://lemmy.world/search) and punch in
pf2general
it should list it then in the search results, it may take some time for the sync to happen. Once you see it, click on the link and hit “subscribe”. Congratulations you are now subscribed on a foreign federated lemmy instance.Thank you for explaining how to navigate this Strange New World™! Much appreciated.
The progress spinner is a known issue that has been brought up to the Lemmy devs; if you try to log on where an account doesn’t exist, or if you try to create an account with a duplicate email or username, Lemmy doesn’t give any sort of error, or even stop, it just sits there.
@[email protected] covered the rest of your question; you can create an account on both communities, but it’s really not necessary because of the federation. Hopefully the ActivityPub and fediverse developers make some QoL improvements to this in the future because it is a little clunky coming from something that’s been in development for over a decade.
Thanks for explaining what’s happening!
