Summary

Dallas-area megachurch Gateway removed four elders after an investigation found they either knew about or failed to investigate founder Robert Morris’s sexual abuse of a minor in the 1980s.

Morris, a former Trump spiritual adviser, resigned in June after admitting to “inappropriate sexual behavior” with Cindy Clemishire, starting when she was 12. The investigation, led by the Haynes and Boone law firm, contradicted initial church statements claiming ignorance of the victim’s age.

Morris allegedly tried to minimize Clemishire’s account and even offered her money to stay silent.

    inappropriate sexual behavior

You’re not ‘taking responsibility’ if you can’t even use the words that describe the act your guilty of.

It would be funny if this guy dies and Jesus says, sorry, you have to go to hell. Yes, we forgave you, but only for the inappropriate sexual behavior that you confessed to. You’re still on the hook for rape.
