Officers were given stop and search powers to help prevent disorder during a Bonfire Night which saw missiles thrown at police.

Videos on WhatsApp showing neds trashing cars and setting off fireworks through letter boxes of random houses. There’s a police helicopter over Niddrie. This is basically a riot every year! Authorities need to clamp down on this somehow.
