Is there a way to blur the images other than the nsfw tag? We’re gonna get a reputation. Haha. Also, if you have show nsfw unchecked, it doesn’t just blur, it won’t show at all.

NoNot that I know of. But on my phone at least the thumbnails are so small it doesn’t give away the answer. Let me know if it’s different for you.

Using NSFW is a clever workaround! If it becomes an issue we could all just use that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oh weird, on mine, the image is huge.

Nsfw will have to do, then. I’m really liking Lemmy so far, I’ve found several of my favorites subs on here. If it were just a little more active, it’d be pretty easy to switch pretty painlessly.

Without NSFW, does it show the actual words for you in the thumbnail? On both my phone and my computer it doesn’t, it just shows the letters with the zigzag pattern. I only see the answers when I open up the full image.

The whole image. I’d screen shot and show you, but I haven’t done today’s puzzle, so I don’t want to pull up the community page, it’d spoil it.

            Okay, thanks for lmk.

I just went back and NSFW’d my previous solutions, sorry about that, and I’ll make NSFWing a rule on the sidebar.

There’s no u/AutoModerator here so I can’t set up auto-spoiler/NSFW-tagging here, but hopefully if people see the rule, they’ll do the right thing.

I really appreciate all the stuff you do. You rock.

Also, thank you for making a Lemmy in the first place. It’s gotten me back into a bunch of communities and stuff I’d sort of slipped away from. Hell, I went on and reinstalled a dual boot for Linux mint because Lemmy/fediverse made me realize how much I missed the whole open source community. It’s been really fun getting back into that kind of stuff by finding something totally new to me.

              Also, no algorithm rocks

              Any other communities you recommend?

You know on Lemmy I find myself cruising the main page more than anything. It’s actually fun without the bot spam and algorithm shenanigans that ruined r/All on Reddit years ago.

Also a good way to find new stuff you never considered before. Lmk if you find anything neat, too!

I’ve mainly found star trek, Linux and anarchist stuff. Haha. Antiques memes roadshow is pretty good, too, for that sweet nostalgia dopamine magic.

Yes, I saw that one the other day! Love the vintage memes. :)

Oh my god. I enabled NSFW for the whole Lemmy so screencaps could be blurred and I think it deleted all posts on the front page!

But at least image spoiler tagging should work from now on. -.-

I’m sorry, has my comment just nuked our sub? >.<

Haha, don’t worry, I figured it out, everything’s okay.

I didn’t have NSFW turned on in my personal settings, that’s why it looked nuked.

But once I enabled it, everything came back.

I think Lemmy will auto-blur all solution images from now on, too, which is nice.

Anyway I updated the sidebar to tell everyone to turn on NSFW in their preferences; but we may have to remind newbies since it’s not immediately obvious what’s going on!
