I hope this isn’t the case, but the timing of the movies is really good to get people into Dune. They’ll need the books to fully understand the parallels though.
Hopefully Trump doesn’t do the things we suspect he’ll do based on what he’s said, but, if he does, hopefully it’s a moment humanity can learn from (again). Hopefully we come out of this and people stop trusting charismatic leaders. Dune may be more relevant than ever.
The golden path flung humanity beyond the reaches of one empire. Not sure how than can occur while we are still a single planet species.
If only the US is Rakis and scattering happens to the rest of the globe
Yeah, the analogy doesn’t fit perfectly (unless Trump sends humans to other planet, which who knows what he might do). Still, the largest part of it is humanity learning a lesson one final time so they won’t repeat it again.
