If you download a car all the car manufacturers lose is somebody that is either too poor or too cheap to purchase a car from them. Obviously that is a multi hundred trillion dollar loss but aside from that, what is the actual harm in downloading a car?

I never got that. A download is a copy. It’s not taking the file away from the hoster.
If you download a car all the car manufacturers lose is somebody that is either too poor or too cheap to purchase a car from them.
