I’d always thought there was a pretty good extended metaphor in there comparing him to a gator looking to scoop up some easy fish, or paving it over and putting in a strip mall, etc, so I’m honestly a little disappointed that it’s just going to be filled with toxic waste instead.
I guess when he said “drain the swamp”, he never really stated what kind of liquid it would be replaced with.
