It isn’t now. Go watch a science video on Facebook and read the comments. Every time I report all the idiots, and every time Meta decides not to remove the blatantly hateful, false information.

I have the same feeling about Facebook. To me, my Orkut memories are more vivid than the ones from Facebook.

I don’t have a facebook account for that and a myriad of other reasons. But I agree I am lagging culturally because of it. I’m sorry that I get that way on here when I get all wound up.

No, you’re fine, I was trying to illustrate that it’s already, and has been happening for quite some time. I wouldn’t be on Facebook at all if it weren’t for my family. I absolutely detest what sort of drivel is allowed to be posted there.

I don’t use Facebook but I find that on YouTube people will spout blatantly awful bigoted takes and any kind of response I make, no matter how much I try to clean up the language, will get shadow deleted

Had some guy calling everyone dunces he disagreed with on fb.

Apparently, it doesn’t violate community standards

Either does porn, or any form of harassment

But apparently, me telling people that I was safe overnight at a hut when hiking, where and how many people isn’t ok, and that post was removed
