Thomas was such a badass. And you’ll never see him referenced anywhere on streets and buildings like that Lee clown. This dude just kicked ass everywhere and placed out; no memoirs or book deals and stayed out of the spotlight. I’m always happy to see him brought up anywhere.
His wiki page has basically anyone and everyone who has written about him. Not much IS written because he left no memoir nor wrote an autobiography like basically everyone else we’ve ever heard of from the civil war. He was a great friend to old William Tecumseh himself, and didn’t want to be written about in his lifetime. He viewed what he did as a duty, not any cause for celebration. Sherman’s march would have been impossible without Thomas’ successes in the west.
