minus-square@marcoslink1•5 days agoAndroid updates are large enough that I imagine every single one comes with a new kernel and core libraries. Exchanging those without a reboot is hard and usually not worth the risk. On Windows, that’s a central architectural decision made on the 90s. It won’t change.

Android updates are large enough that I imagine every single one comes with a new kernel and core libraries.
Exchanging those without a reboot is hard and usually not worth the risk.
On Windows, that’s a central architectural decision made on the 90s. It won’t change.
